Sarah JACQUIER works for the French ministry of culture. Reporting to the head of the legal and international affairs service, she follows, inter alia, online platforms regulation issues, including the implementation under French law of article 17 of the Directive on Copyright in the digital single market. Before joining the Ministry of culture, Sarah worked more than 3 years at the European Commission where she was a member of the copyright unit of the DG CONNECT in charge of the preparation and the negotiation of the Copyright law package. Before working for the Commission, she was the General Council of HADOPI, the French public agency created in 2009 to tackle online piracy. Having started her career as a private qualified attorney in the French local branch of American law firms, she also holds a Ph-D in copyright law and a master of management in telecoms and new media.
