Aleksandra Kaca (born in 1991) Polish composer, songwriter, musician, manager and italianist. In her works she focuses mainly on color - on the way timbres are being mixed and on nuances that form a multidimensional but coherent image. Composer fervently reach for a non-obvious combinations such as junction of harp and piano in Shadow lines or a mix of soprano and baritone saxophones with electronics in Dream argument. Her interests are oriented on different music genres. She is a founder and a leader of FJORS (compositions, voice, keys, electronics) - band that combines electronics with acoustics and pop with alternative.
Between 2015 and 2019 she has co-organised and co-produced several concerts and music festivals, inter alia: New Music Concerts series (gen~.rate group; 2015-2017), Quartessence Festival (Royal String Quartet, 2019), Słuchy — concerts to be toured (Kwardofonik, 2019), Kwadrofonik Festival (Kwadrofonik, 2019). Since 2019 she has been a manager of Hashtag Ensemble — music cooperative specialising in contemporary music.
She has graduated from the University of Warsaw with MA in Italian studies, in the meantime completing a part-time program in cultural production, journalism and multimedia at LUMSA University in Rome. As an interpreter she collaborated with the National Fryderyk Chopin Institute, Cinema Italia Oggi film festival (Muranow Cinema / Cinecittà LUCE / Italian Institute of Culture) and the directors duo Manetti Bros. She has also graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music where she has completed „Artist Management” Postgraduate Program carried out in collaboration with Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) in Warsaw and composition under prof. Marcin Blażewicz and prof. Krzysztof Baculewski. In the meantime, she has completed a part-time composition studies at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus under Simon Steen-Andersen and Niels Rønsholdt.
