In the context of the review of the EU copyright acquis, authors – being the source and moral centre of copyright – can often be side-lined in a debate which is of paramount importance to them and can affect their income, working conditions and the integrity of their works.
ECSA and its partners EFJ, FERA, EWC and FSE therefore aim to change the dynamics with the conference and play an active role in the debate on behalf of the creators it represents.
The goal of the event is to create a forum where the needs and concerns of authors will be taken into account and where solutions will be presented in order to shape a digital future and ensure a vibrant cultural diversity.
